In a news mention, Attorney and Partner Franchesco “Frank” Soto is spotlighted for joining the firm’s Miami office in the Construction Defect Practice Group. With over two decades of litigation experience representing building owners (including condominium and homeowners’ associations), Soto’s addition marks the further expansion of the firm’s South Florida presence, enhancing its ability to serve owners with construction defect issues.

“As construction continues to boom in Florida, so too does the need for skilled attorneys who can hold developers and contractors accountable,” said James C. Prichard, Managing Partner of Ball Janik LLP. “Frank’s arrival reinforces our commitment to providing clients with experienced and trusted legal advocates.”

Previously, Soto represented associations and property owners with construction defect claims as the Chair of the Construction Department at a Miami-based law firm. Soto has served as the trusted legal advisor to luxury high-rise condominiums and other significant community associations. His litigation practice also includes defending financial institutions in breach of contract claims, real estate disputes, and consumer protection matters, which provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the various forces at play in Florida’s construction market.

Soto earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, where he served as associate editor of the Journal of International Law and Comparative Studies, and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Florida International University.
