Kasey L. Joyce
Kasey Lynne Joyce is an associate in Ball Janik LLP’s Construction Defect and Litigation practices. She works collaboratively with a team of attorneys who represent corporations and professionals in a variety of general and complex litigation matters. She enjoys researching, drafting documents, and discussing strategy with her colleagues to provide legal solutions for clients. Kasey became intrigued by construction law when she interned with the Office of the General Counsel for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, which is responsible for all legal aspects of the construction projects at Tampa International Airport. She enjoyed the work and was immediately drawn to the pursuit of construction litigation.
Previously, Kasey completed a rotational externship with the Middle District of Florida, wherein she served the Honorable Charlene E. Honeywell, the Honorable Roberta A. Colton, and the Honorable Amanda A. Sansone. She also served as a legal extern at the Office of the General Counsel for Shands Hospital. Additionally during her law school tenure, she served as a research assistant and trial practice teaching assistant at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She is proficient in Russian, conversational in French and is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Kasey is a published author, and most recently authored an article entitled “The Legal and Practical Framework for Psychiatric Diagnoses as Bases for Requests for Euthanasia and Physician Assisted Suicide in the Netherlands” in The Florida Journal of International Law.
During her free time, Kasey enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her dog.
