Angie Otto coordinated a panel discussion evaluating the risks when a contractor has been asked to bid a project whose value is larger than the previous year’s top line. Topics included financial stability, underwriting concerns, potential impacts to bonding capacity and banking risks, and the legal risk-shifting clauses to consider. The presenters outlined strategies to minimize the impacts and risks should the company be awarded – and elect to proceed with – the project.
